William Hunter Atkinson died aged 25 whilst serving with 23 Squadron. He was the son of Andrew Cosser Mather Atkinson and Louisa Atkinson (nee Hunter) of Primrose Jarrow. His older brother George Atkinson and younger brother James Atkinson were also amongst the fallen
William is buried in Jarrow Cemetery.
