214421 Sgt. John Warren Badley Royal New Zealand Air Force 106 Sqd. from:Auckland, New Zealand (d.8th Dec 1942) John Badley was the uncle of my wife, the only son of Victor Badley, who never got over losing his son at 20. John was found in the wreckage of his crashed aircraft by local German villagers and buried in their local cemetery. After the war he was re-interred at the Rheinberg War Cemetery, Kamp Lintfort, Nordrhein-Westfal, Germany. The Red Cross alerted his parents of his death at the time. I know nothing of his Air Force career and would be grateful for any further information.
Additional Information: | Sgt Badley RNZAF was actually killed on 12th August 1942 in Lancaster W4109.Clive Smith
