213466 Gunner Ron Davies British Army Royal Artillery from:Swansea My late uncle, Ron Davies from near Swansea, Wales, was a gunner with the Royal Artillery when captured at Crete in 1941. I know that he was at Stalag 344 at the end of the war. I recall him saying that he worked in the mines when a POW. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with any memories, photos etc. Additional Information: | My late father spoke of a "Dick Davies" twice in his diary and I am wondering if this could have been your uncle. He was captured in North Africa and transported to Poland then Germany via Greece, Italy etc. He also worked in the mines and was a British gunner. Interned at Stalag 344 and several other camps as well as Stalag 8A and 9C. Lawrence Mckay
