Lt. George Ernest "Walshie" Walsh

British Army 65 HAA Rgt. RA (TA) Manchester Regiment

from:14, Vine Grove, Stockport, Cheshire

My father George Walsh would never talk about the war. He did once tell me that "they fired 15,000 rounds a night but never shot anything down". Otherwise I never knew anything about it. I would like to know if possible just where he was during the war. Please can anyone help me?

Additional Information:

My Dad was with the 65th as well, but after the war. 1949-51. They went to Delmenhorst Germany and Holland. They were based out of Plymouth.I am thinking that it is fair to assume that the 65th would have been stationed in Plymouth during WW2. As far as missions go, I believe that they would keep to similar areas after the war as during the war. It is possible that your Dad may have been training my Dad in 1949 if he was still in the same Regiment during this time.
