210177 Sgt. James Atlee James United States Army 4th infantry 4th Recon. My uncle Jim James was in WWII but has now passed away. He was very troubled after the war and seldom spoke of his time overseas. It wasn't until he passed away that we found out that he had received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct, European African Medal, Eastern Service Ribbon and the American Defense Service Medal. If anyone knows anything about him, or the people he served along side we would appreciate it. We do not even know how he received his wounds that he got the Purple Heart for.
