208519 George Victor Fowles Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve My father, George Victor Fowles, served in RAF Bomber Command and was stationed at Coningsby, he was one of the many men who serviced the Lancaster, but do not know what squadron he was in, I know he was very proud of the RAF, before he was sent to Coningsby, he was in the Orkney Islands as were many men until they where transferred you Coningsby. I wish, now, I had asked him more questions about it all, but they did not say much in those days. My sister has a photo of some crew with Dad.
