207930 Charles "Bill" Desborough British Army Rifle Brigade from:North London I have started a family tree for my sister and myself and have just found out that my father, Bill Desborough was a prisoner of war and at POW Stalag XXA. He never really spoke of the war and so everything I am finding out is quite a surprise. He was in the Rifle Brigade and was a prisoner of war at Stalag XX-A Thorn podgorz, poland. He was injured during a march where he had to pick potatoes, he was so hungry he ate a potato and was caught by a german officer and was injured then as a result. I would love to hear from anyone else that was in the same camp or anyone who remembers my father, if you have even a little smidget of information.
