207811 James Walter Wood British Army Royal Army Medical Corps from:Putney, London My uncle, Jim Ward, joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and was in uniform when he married in September 1939. He was captured in 1940 and incarcerated in Stalag 8B. He came back from the camp a broken man, I believe he may have been medically repatriated but don't know when. In the 1950s he disappeared and we never heard from him again, although he sent money to support his son's education.
