Ernest Millwater

Canadian Army Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada

My Great-Grandfather, Ernest Millwater, was a POW for 3 years, after he was captured at the Battle of Dieppe. He was a Canadian solider for the Cameron Highlanders. He always talked about helping with the tunnels, spreading dirt around from his socks.

I believe he lived in Ottawa at the time he left for war and returned to Canada after his release to move further west to Manitoba and eventually British Columbia where he passed away in Prince Rupert in 1999. Any information about him would be greatly appreciated.
