152810 Sgt. John William Noel Cornthwaite British Army Royal Artillery from:Haverthwaite My father was captured in France in 1940 and spent the remaining years in various POW camps including Stalag 383, my eldest brother said there were 5 different camp. I didn't talk to my Dad about the war as I was too young, my two brothers who were born before the war knew more. My Father's name was John William Noel Cornthwaite, he was a Sergeant in the Royal Artillery. I would like to know if anybody knew our Dad.
