1187 Lloyd P. Dillon US Navy USS Boise My father, Lloyd P. Dillon served aboard the USS Boise, CL-47. I believe he was transferred while she was being repaired in late 1942 or early 1943. I know that he saw action in the Pacific and that he lost friends and shipmates in October 1942. He never talked that much about what had happened aboard the Boise, but I knew that he was proud to have served.
