Stanley Simmons was my father. He served on HMS Pembroke and HMS Kipling before transferring to HM submarines. He was wireless operator on HMS Otus, P554 and HMS Volatile. He was also in what was probably the best WW2 submarine propaganda film, Close Quarters. He survived the war.
