My father, Roy Harding, was a member of 18 Platoon, D Company, 2nd Battalion South Wales Borderers during WW2. He was one of six Englishmen drafted into this Welsh Regiment in 1944. I believe he joined the battalion in France after the battle for Caen, and he then fought through Belgium, The Netherlands and into Germany.
