British Army Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment

George Rees was born in Chatham, Kent, eldest son of George and Eva Georgina Rees. He joined the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment. He met Amy Winifred Thomas, they married in Pembroke in October 1941. He died on 17th of November 1942 in North Africa and is buried in Tabarka Ras Rajel War Cemetery. As well as his parents and wife he left behind his brothers David and Robert and sisters Winifred Doreen, Betty and Eileen.
