CPO. William Thomas Billinghurst

Royal Navy HMS Royal Arthur

from:Chichester

William Billinghurst_HMS Royal Arthur, Class 147. He is in the 2nd row, middle, holding the preserver.

We have a photo of my granddad, William Billinghurst with class 147 HMS Royal Arthur, at Skegness in 1943. He was 54 at the time and is the old guy in the middle. When he was shore-pensioned in 1925 he was a Chief Petty Officer. I believe this was his rating in WW2 too. I have full details of his WW1 service (service number 214891) but am trying to find out his WW2 history. I assume his service number will be different.
