Pte. Alexander George MacKenzie

Canadian Army North Shore N.B. Reg.

from:Westchester, NS

(d.25th Oct 1944 )

I did not have the pleasure of knowing my uncle Sandy MacKenzie. He died before I was born. All his family are gone now. I was able to get the information from Ottawa about his army history which I am presenting to the legion in Tatamagouche, NS where he has his name on the war monument . He was only 23 when he died, not even in Belgium for a year.

I had the pleasure of visiting his grave last year at Adegem Canadian War Cemetery in Belgium. So many young men lost their lives.
