Able Sea. William Owen

Royal Navy HMS Indefatigable

My Dad Bill Owen was on the communications between the aircraft and the carrier, HMS Indefatigable but had to be relieved from duty as being a northerner as the pilots could not understand him. On the day of the kamikaze hit, the position he would have occupied, if he had not have been demoted, was hit by the plane and his replacement was killed. He had a good friend, Eddie Dolan, who later married his wife Edna's sister. Any information would be welcome.
