British Army Royal Warwickshire Regiment

Eric Tallis spent 3.5 years in the British Army with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

On 6th of June 1944, at the age of 22, he was sent to France to fight on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day. Shortly after arriving, he was hit by a shell and suffered shrapnel wounds through both legs bringing the end to his service.

After the war, Eric went on to have 2 children and died in 1973 at the age of 51.
