Sgt. H. Jackson

Royal Air Force 50 Squadron

(d.12th July 1941)

Sergeant H Jackson (his real name was Israel Jacobovitch) served with the Royal Air Force in 50 Squadron in WW2. He died 12th of July 1941 when the Hampden AE 226 VN crashed killing the entire crew. This plane crashed near Veendam, in the vicinity of Veensloot. The crew are all buried together. H Jackson was aged 25 years and is buried in the Veendam General Cemetery, Netherlands. Son of Isaac and Miriam Jacobovitch of West Hampstead, London.
