256167 Pte. Henry James Martin British Army 9th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment from:Greenwich, London I was 4 1/2 years old before I met my Father, Henry Martin. I don't know when he joined the army but my birth certificate says he was a Private in the Royal Sussex Regiment, however it doesn't give the battalion number. It is said that he served in Burma, which would make it the 9th battalion. Apparently he was a changed man when he came back. I'd like to know what happened to him.
