Cpl. Glyndwr Howell Rees

British Army Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

from:Gellywen, Carmarthenshire

Glyndwr Rees was my father. He served in North Africa and Italy during WW2. He suffered a gun shot wound in battle in April 1943. He was group A class 2 vehicle fitter. Assigned to the Light Aid Detachment of 579th Company of Royal Engineers in June 1946. He survived the war but died aged 49 in 1965.
