Bill Roscoe was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. He joined the Lincoln and Welland Regiment in June 1940 at the age of 16. He trained as a signaler for 4 years in Canada and a year in England. He was killed during the liberation of Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands on 28th of October 1944 and is buried in Bergen op Zoom War Cemetery.
