Pte. Thomas Whitecross

British Army 12th Battalion, B Squadron Royal Tank Regiment

from:Hartlepool

I only know about my Uncle Tommy Whitecross through talking to my mum after finding his photograph in my late grandma's photo album. Little is known about him as he was a very private person who talked very discretely as regards the actions he was involved with during the war. What we do know is that he was wounded in Italy at some time during 1944 which was reported in the local newspaper The Hartlepool Mail at the time.
