Charles Scorer Gilbertson Royal Navy HV Medway Queen from:North Shields My dad, Charles Gilbertson, served on shore mine sweeepers, most of the war on board HV Medway Queen, both prior to the war when she was a passenger paddle stream running down the Thames and then during the war. She was decorated for her efforts during Dunkirk, she is being refurbished in Chatham and I visited recently. He also served in South Africa at Assagi and Europa. If any one has any stories relating to these ships I would love to hear them.
