C/Sgt. John Thomas Andrew Edington
British Army Royal Army Service Corps
from:Mansfield
John Edington was one of the first to march into the Belgian capital. They were mobbed by the people, their stripes torn from their arms by excited crowds who wanted souvenirs. Members of the underground movement pinned badges on their jackets. He was also at Dunkirk and served two and a half years in Northern Ireland.
