249085 Capt. Harry Dare Bennett ARP from:Stockport, Cheshire Harry Bennett was the son of Sir Henry C. Bennett and Lady Julia Ann Joyce. Harry was shot in the right buttocks at the Battle of Pozières, and also received burns to the right side of the face, mouth and throat at the Battle of Passchendaele. Harry was discharged on the 15th of April 1918 due to the burns he received. Harry returned to his wife and four children in Stockport, and remained there until he died in 1966. Harry also served in the Civil Defence Rescue Service during the Second World War as a Chemical Operations Officer.
