Billy Cloughton was a lovely man who was badly affected by the War but still managed to bring up two children. He never spoke of what he did in the War or where he had been. He has an Egypt, Italy and Atlantic Star and also I know he was involved in the D-Day landings so he saw action in many theatres of war
