Spr. John Fraser

British Army 232nd Field Company Royal Engineers

from:Rutherglen, Scotland

My grandfather, John Fraser, was a Sapper in the British Army for the Royal Engineers. My dad, has the original Register Form for Recovered Allied Prisoners of War. John Fraser courageously fought against Rommel in Libya. He was captured on 29th of May 1942 and returned to military control 29th of April 1945, spending almost 3 years as a prisoner of war. John was held in Stalag 344 and Stalag 7A and liberated by American forces.

My family is extremely proud of him and the sacrifices he made fighting for our freedom.
