Sgt. Samuel Saunderson

British Army Royal Pioneer Corps

from:Burnholme, Yorkshire

(d.26th September 1941)

Serjeant Samuel Saunderson of the Royal Pioneer Corps is buried at Halifax (Fort Massey) Cemetery, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the husband of Norah Saunderson (nee Fahy), and father to Samuel Michael Saunderson and Terrence Sylvester Anthony Saunderson. Norah was informed 2 or 3 times her husband was missing/presumed dead, but each time, he was found alive and well. Sadly, my father T.S.A. Saunderson never knew (to the day he died), the true circumstances of his father's death. All my family knows is that he died under suspicious circumstances.
