Thomas Foley stayed with a family in Belgium before going to Germany.
A letter from the family he stayed were John Vorcammen or Gorcammen. The
letter to his mother says thank you for the battles for their liberation.
He says that Thomas was frightened because he thought that he would never
go back to Belgium and also he would never see his family again.
They stayed with him until the lorries started.
He wrote to Thomas 8 days later, but did not receive an answer. He wrote
to his friends who told him Thomas had been killed in action.
