Sgt.Pilot John Raymond Brown

Royal Air Force Volunteers Reserve 51 Squadron

from:Blackpool

(d.30th Oct 1940)

I remember my Mother's aunt, Martha Catterall (nee Dewhurst) and her husband Jack would often talk about John Brown during the 1950s. I was a child at the time but I have always remembered their sadness regarding the death of this RAFVR pilot. I have little information but I would like him to be remembered. I think he was a relative of Jack Catterall who lived in Blackburn,Lancs. The serviceman is buried in Blackburn Cemetery.
