Pte. George W. Manzi

British Army East Yorkshire Regiment

from:Plaistow, London

(d.25th September 1944)

There is not a lot that we know about our uncle George Manzi, as he died when he was 19 during World War Two. However, we do know that he died in operation Market Garden, Arnhem, Holland on 25th of September 1944. We found his grave in a small cemetery in Arnhem. I was the first person to visit him since he was buried over 70 years ago.
