Nursing Sister. Davina "Ena" Finlay

Ena Finlay joined as a QARNNS Nursing Sister at the Royal Naval Hospital, Kingseat, Aberdeen on 23rd Februry 1943 and was posted to St.Peters Hospital, Colombo on 28th of September 1944, being released from the service on 2nd September 1946.
She subsequently re-entered the service at the Royal Naval Hosptal, Chatham on 14th February 1947 and served until retirement on age on 6th March 1968. During this period she served at Sherborne 1947, Bramcote 1947, Chatham 1949 after promotion to Senior Nursing Sister in Hong Kong 1949, Haslar 1952 where she was again promoted in 1956, this time to Superintendent Nursing Sister, Fleet Work Study Course at Portsmouth 1959, Fleet Work Study Team No. 12 London 1960, Families Clinic, Malta 1965 in rank of Acting Matron and Plymouth 1966 also as Acting Matron.
She was awarded Associate Member Royal Red Cross in 1967 and had the honour of being in the QARNNS party at the annual Armistice Service in the Royal Albert Hall one year (date not known).
She retired back to her native Scotland, firstly to Kirriemuir and then to Kinross, she died in Perth in 1991.
