Pte. Frederick Prior

British Army 4th Btn. Royal Berkshire Regiment

from:Reading

Dad, Frederick Prior was with the BEF and was shot in the back twice and taken to a German field hospital, operated on and survived. Then spent 4 years in a POW camp in Poland, where he escaped with 3 other men and fought with the Russians (so the story goes). During captivity he contracted T.B. And when he returned home spent a long period in Peppered Hospital, Donning, outside Reading. I would like to know more about my dad during his time with the regiment.
