Cpl. Dennis Thomas William Mann

British Army Derbyshire Yeomanry

from:London

My father Dennis Mann served with the Derbyshire Yeomanry in the role of Reconnaissance and was attached to the 7th Armoured Division. I know that he served in Tunis, Torburk, Cairo and Egypt. He was a driver mechanic in armoured cars, Dingos, Ferets. He was also in the three manned jeeps that had machine guns, fuel cans etc for extended work away from base. I know that he was involved in placing drain pipes in the sand and then moving them the next day to give the impression of fake tank movements.
