Private John Inman of No. 4 Base Ammunition Depot, RAOC died on the 17th of June 1940 while waiting to be evacuated on a train at Rennes railway station, a number of bombs were dropped on the station one hit an ammunition train causing a massive explosion which killed over 800 people.
