Royal Navy HMS Sea Dog

George Woods did his training at HMS Ganges in 1942, before being assigned to HMS Sea Dog for training as a Torpedoman on board the submarine in Scotland that had been commissioned later that same year. They spent some time in the Berents Sea in some extremely cold weather before spending a lot of time in the Far East, patrolling and checking smaller local fishing craft for enemy troops (Japanese) around Malaya and Burma.
