My father, Wills Williams, served in 227 Squadron, RAF from 1944 to 1945. He qualified in Canada as a bomb aimer and spent the war in the cold perspex of the nose cone of a Lancaster Bomber. For the rest of his life, he remembered his crew and their days, and nights together.

He returned to Canada and settled in Toronto. He married and raised one adopted son. He passed in Kitchener, Ontario in 1996.
