240207 Sgt. Frederick Francis William Wade British Army 56th Recce Reg. Reconnaissance Corps from:Willesden, Middlesex. England. This is my husband's Uncle, Frederick Wade. He was captured in 1942 in North Africa, we believe in very early December, and remained a Prisoner of War until the war ended. When he returned home to England he was in a very poor state of health. He married in 1950 but only 3 months later died from Meningitis, an illness he had no strength to battle. He was the youngest of 8 children and was hugely missed by his Father, brothers and sisters and is still remembered with great fondness by his nephew, my husband.
