240186 F/Lt. Ronald Watcyn Jones Royal Air Force 99 Squadron (d.7th November 1940) Ronald Jones was the 29year old pilot of Wellington IC. R3289 based at RAF Newmarket, the aircraft is thought to have been shot down at 01.30 hrs, 150 yards from Cliff Road in the North Sea. East Suffolk Police reported that the aircraft was seen to pass over Felixstowe flying West to East, being on fire in the air.
