Colin McGeorge volunteered to join the Royal Navy on 20th November 1942 at the age of 18 years and 16 days. He trained as a Telegraphist on HMS Royal Arthur. His first embarkation since completion of his training was on HMS Scotia from 16th January 1943 until 29th July 1943.
He continued service as a Telegraphist until his Class A discharge from the Royal Navy on 6th June 1946.
Colin emigrated to Australia on the 19th July 1949. Arriving in Fremantle, Western Australia 2nd Sept 1949. Where he settled, married and started his family of 5 children.
