Pte. Norman Doodson

British Army 2nd Btn. South Lancashire Regiment

from:Warrington

(d.4th April 1945)

I don't really know too much, only this family story that Norman Doodson was captured whilst injured along with some others from his Battalion, one soldier called Naylor (this is from memory) escaped and told that they had been captured. None of the captured soldiers were ever heard of or seen again. My uncle Leslie Doodson who also fought in World War II met up with him for a brief reunion in Burma before he was lost, my Uncle Les who fought in Burma too survived the war, he died in December 2010.
