228818 Pte. Cornelius Boyle "Neil" McCafferty British Army 51st Highland Div. My dad, Pte Cafferty, served with the 51st Highland Division and was captured at Dunkirk. He was marched across Europe to Stalag 9c. He mentioned that it was close to the city/town of Erfurt which, after the partition, was in East Germany. He escaped at least twice and was recaptured both times. He worked on a farm much of the time.
