Albert Edward Clowes
Royal Navy
from:Denton Manchester
My Uncle Albert Clowes was a prisoner of war in Algeria. He tried to escape but was recaptured and taken back. Whoever ran the camp hospital carried out an operation on a mastoid he had without any anaesthetic. He was liberated by the Americans. When they found him his hair was nearly to his waist He said they were treated cruelly. We cant find any records of him and would love to find out any information.
