Thomas McCourt was 32 when he died. Born in Jarrow in 1914, he was the son of John and Mary McCourt (nee McNally) of Jarrow and husband of Mary Elizabeth McCourt (nee Frampton) of Jarrow.
Thomas is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
