William Albert George Berry
British Army Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment
My Granddad William Berry POW's number was 1354. These photos were
sent home to his mum's house in November 1944. He was unable to bring many photos back with him as he had his kit and Red Cross supplies.
He was taken prisoner early and spent most of his wartime there I believe.
Is there anyone who can help with the whereabouts of the two men that are crossed in the
Photo, as they were close friends and would like to chat to them.
If there are any relatives whom recognise this gentleman please let me know so I can pass on the information onto my Granddad.
John Hunt (Johnny) of the 45th Battalion was good friends with Granddad
But lost contact does any-body know the location of him.
Granddad has many stories of his times at Stalag 9c and I would like to reunite him with some of his old pals if any of them are still around.
