6th Airborne Division



   6th Airbourne Division was formed in mid 1943 and consisted of the 3rd and 5th Parachute Brigades, 6th Airlanding Brigade and supporting units. They saw action in Normandy from June 1944 but were withdrawn to England in September. The division was sent to Belgium in December 1944 and in March 1945 they crossed the River Rhine.
