154th Infantry Brigade



   154th Brigade served with 51st (Highland) Division and proceeded to France with the BEF in 1939. In 1940 the Brigade was reorganised and amalgamated with 28th Brigade, 9th (Highland) Division and went on to see action in North Africa, Sicily and North Western Europe.
    It was made up of
  • 6th Battalion, Black Watch (to Aug 1940)
  • 7th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
  • 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (to Aug 1940)
  • 1st Battalion, Black Watch (from Aug 1940)
  • 7th Battalion, Black Watch (from Aug 1940)
