World War 2 Two II WW2 WWII 1939 1945

152nd Infantry Brigade



   152nd Brigade served with 51st (Highland) Division and proceeded to France with the BEF in 1939. They were captured at St Valery in June 1940 and was reformed in August by the redesignation of 26th Brigade, 9th (Highland) Division and went on to see action in North Africa, Sicily and North Western Europe.
    It was made up of:
  • 4th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (until 12th June 1940)
  • 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (until 30 March 1940)
  • 4th Battalion, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders (until 12 June 1940)
  • 152nd Infantry Brigade Anti-Tank Company (28 January 1940 - 12 June 1940)
  • 2nd Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (30 March 1940 - 12 June 1940)
  • 2nd Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (from Aug 1940 onwards)
  • 5th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (from Aug 1940 onwards)
  • 5th Battalion, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders (from Aug 1940 onwards)
