300365 Sgt. Ernest Bushby British Army 18th Btn. Durham Light Infantry Ernest Bushby was 30 years old when he was killed in 1918. Buried in Strand Military Cemetery, he was the son of Sarah Hannah Bushby, of 11 Coopers Terrace, Thornley, Wheatley Hill, Co. Durham, and the late Alfred Bushby. Ernest was originally buried at map ref 36.C.4.5.5, his grave being marked with a cross, he was reburied in December 1919.
